LILLEY MP Wayne Swan received two bunches of flowers on Valentines Day from two northsiders who want to know why they are still waiting for marriage equality.
It was part of Australian Marriage Equality Inc’s campaign to remind MPs gay couples were still waiting to marry.
An Australian Marriage Equality spokesman said only 25 more MPs were needed to show support for reforms for legislation to pass in Parliament, and hoped that the Valentines Day gesture might sway the minds of the nation’s decision makers.
