Join Lynn MacLaren Greens MLC WA at a special forum feat. University of NSW constitutional lawyer Prof George Williams, who will be exploring the constitutionality of Lynn’s Same-Sex Marriage Bill 2013.
Ms MacLaren introduced the state-based Bill into WA Parliament late last year; with the Prime Minister showing little interest in addressing the issue at a Federal level, we must work towards equality State by State.
Professor Williams and Ms MacLaren will invite questions on how the Bill will work successfully alongside the Federal Marriage Act.
Hon Lynn MacLaren: Lynn MacLaren MLC is a member of the Legislative Council of the West Australian Parliament. She was elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2012 to represent people in the South Metropolitan Region which stretches from south of the Swan River from Victoria Park to Singleton.
