Marriage Equality advocates are preparing for a big week ahead with a national television campaign launched, Canberra Airport illuminated with in rainbow colours, and co-sponsored legislation expected to be introduced.
Australian Marriage Equality National Director Rodney Croome said:
“Australians are ready for marriage equality and our message to federal politicians is ‘we can do this’.”
“When MPs and Senators walked off their planes they are likely to see that marriage equality is firmly on the agenda this with marriage equality banners throughout Canberra Airport and the Airport exterior illuminated in rainbow colours”
“To coincide with the historic introduction of co-sponsored legislation we will be keeping the pressure on with various events scheduled highlighting the broad-range of support for marriage equality”.
