Tasmanian celebrities, Matt Newell and Monique Brumby, will address a marriage equality rally in Hobart tomorrow.

The rally comes just days before the first ever cross-party marriage equality bill, co-sponsored by Tasmanian MP, Andrew Wilkie, is due to be introduced into parliament.
Australian Marriage Equality national director, Rodney Croome, said the aim of the rally is to show community support for marriage equality, including a Liberal free vote on the issue.
“The message from the rally will be that together we can do this”, Mr Croome said.
Speakers at the rally will include
Matt Newell: My Kitchen Rules star and Sea FM presenter who will also deliver a message from his father, Mick Newell
Monique Brumby: Aria award winning singer songwriter
Rodney Croome: national director of Australian Marriage Equality and 2015 Tasmanian of the Year
Nick Outterside: adult son of a same-sex couple
Deidre Murray: Tasmanian mother of two
Nick McKim: Greens Senator elect
Carol Brown: Labor Senator
Lisa Singh: Labor Senator
Sally Rugg: Get Up! marriage equality advocate
The maximum capacity for City Hall is 1200 people. Rallyer-goers who arrive after the Hall is full will be accommodated in Market Place which will be closed to traffic.
