Me and my partner were at an Equal Love Rally taking place in what was called the Mass Illegal Wedding, this was after our Premier Jay Weatherill announced his support for Same Sex Marriage.
For some reason the whole thing really got to me and I was very emotional.
The news crews were there and the minute they saw that, whoosh! All the cameras were taking footage of us.
It meant we were able to have proper footage of the day. We were even interviewed by the ABC.
This photo was taken after we did the hug to pronounce us unlawfully wedded.
It’s just a really lovely natural shot of the two of us which is what I like so much about it.
